Oliveira put her desire to have a good time ahead of her priority to be a champion.

This is Giovanna Pedroso and Ingrid Oliveira. The pair hail from Brazil, and they're synchronized divers on Brazil's Olympic diving team. However, despite the fact that these two are on a team at the pool, they're experiencing some drama in other areas of her life. -
2.
Giovanna Pedroso, 17, says she was forced to spend the whole night before her event wandering around outside her room, wandering the halls of their dorm. The reason? Her partner and roommate, 20-year-old Ingrid Oliveira, got wet and wild with a male canoeist named Pedro Goncalves. -
3.
And their long night had serious consequences the next day. They finished dead last at their event, and their poor performance even drew some laughs from the crowd. -
4.
Naturally, Pedroso is furious at Oliveira. “I have been waiting for four years to be present at the Olympics,” she raged to Brazil’s O Globo newspaper. “And for her it was better to have fun and therefore threw me out of the room.” -
5.
Here's the canoeist in question. Goncalves is staying out of the whole messed, and asked the papers to stay out of his personal life. -
6.
We're not really surprised. This looks like the face of a man who would have a way with women -- and somehow, avoid the repercussions of any drama he causes. -
7.
Apparently, there were problems between the two even before the marathon sex-romp. According to some reports, they were even fighting in the middle of practice before the games -
8.
Oliveira played it cool about the whole thing. She tried to downplay the rift with Pedroso, saying “We leave differences behind and we talked normally,” Oliveira told O Globo. “From today I will not jump synchronized with her.” -
9.
That's right: The two won't dive together anymore. “Me and my coach have talked and after the Olympics I will focus on my individual,” Pedroso said. “It’s good because I will not need to depend on anyone.” -
10.
It's unfortunate that it had to come to this. Admittedly, the Olympics Village is rife with sex-marathons not so different from the one Oliveira apparently had. The Brazilian government has given out 450,000 condoms during the games. -
11.
But usually, the ones having sex are more respectful of their roommates. No matter how badly she wanted to get down with that canoeist, kicking her roommate and teammate out of their shared space the night before competition was a bad idea.
